Robert Herjavec arrived with his parents in North America after escaping Communism in the former Yugoslavia. To help his family make ends meet, he delivered newspapers and waited tables. From that humble beginning, he launched a computer company from his basement, becoming a successful entrepreneur who eventually founded one of North America’s fastest growing technology companies.
Nearly 15 years later, Herjavec Group is recognized as a global leader in information security and specializes in managed security services, compliance, incident response and remediation efforts for enterprise level organizations.
His first two books, Driven and The Will to Win, are top 10 bestsellers. His most recent book, You Don’t Have to Be a Shark: Creating Your Own Success, was published in 2016. Additionally, Herjavec has been sharing his expertise (and investment) with entrepreneurs for six seasons on CBC’s “Dragons’ Den,” the Canadian version of ABC’s “Shark Tank,” on which he also later appeared. He also placed sixth with his dance partner on the popular show “Dancing with the Stars.”
He has served as a cybersecurity advisor for the Government of Canada, participated in the White House Summit on Cybersecurity and recently joined the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Task Force for Cybersecurity. For the past several years, Herjavec has competed as Ferrari #007 for Herjavec Group Racing in the Ferrari Challenge North America Series, achieving multiple podiums and winning Rookie of The Year in 2011.
