- Winner of multiple Emmy and Telly awards during an 20+ year career in television news.
- Founder of onPoint Communication, training emerging leaders in critical influential leadership, communication, media, and presentation skills.
- Creator of “influencer” training program for maximizing influence through effective communication.
Connie Dieken has translated her experiences over an award-winning career as a journalist into a unique series of insights that illuminate the essential traits of an influential leader. From these insights she’s developed a successful methodology for transforming everyday individuals into “influencers.” Since 2000, her onPoint Communication has trained emerging leaders in critical influential leadership, communication, media, and presentation skills.
Dieken won multiple Emmy and Telly awards during a more than 20-year career as a television news anchorwoman, reporter, broadcast personality, and talk show host. Inducted into the Radio/Television Broadcasters Hall of Fame for her body of work, Dieken has also served as a spokesperson for companies including Intel, Sealy, GE, American Greetings, Ernst and Young, and Goodyear.
Realizing there was a pattern to the success enjoyed by the influential figures she’d worked with in business and entertainment, Dieken spent years researching leaders’ common traits. Her conclusions form the foundation for her “influencer” training program. Dieken recognizes that power has a significant influence over each of us; maximizing this power through effective communication can transform any person into a leader.
Author and co-author of five books, including Talk Less, Say More: 3 Habits to Influence Others and Make Things Happen, Dieken has become an executive coach and adviser trusted by the leaders of many of today’s most successful corporations. Her work has been published in the Wall Street Journal, USA Today, The Los Angeles Times, Crain’s Business, The Chicago Tribune, and Womens’ Day, among other media outlets.
