A native of New York State, Bloom began acting at a young age. His first role was in the cult horror film “The Stuff” in 1985. He also has appeared on Comedy Central’s “Premium Blend,” A&E’s “Caroline’s Comedy Hour,” “Evening at the Improv” and “Comedy on the Road.” Bloom is a national headliner on the comedy circuit, performing at Harrah’s and the MGM Grand Casino in Las Vegas. He is in the process of developing several game shows for the Game Show Network. And he is the former host of his own series on VH1.

Scott Bloom tells about a conversation he had with a leadership team, where they emphasized the importance of what was coming for the company, so they asked him to kick off their meeting with a keynote about relationship. He recalls something his dad once said to him: “Anyone in business can have a relationship, but what you want to do is have a partnership.” Bloom then shares the humorous acronym for PARTNERSHIP that he created.

Bloom often uses wordplay in his presentations to get laughs from the audience. In this video, he creates an acronym the group can relate to, and makes up an Italian phrase that will remind them of their collective mission. In this particular instance, he’s addressing two pharmaceutical companies who are undergoing a merger—so the context is serious and the material important—but Bloom’s creative way of presenting keeps the audience at ease while they benefit from the content. The audience can tell Bloom has spent a lot of time researching each of them since he makes the program very targeted to their specific situation.
